Teachers Need Chiropractic Too!

We are almost a full month into school, and I hope someone has been thinking about the teachers, too! It can be very difficult for the body to adapt to taking up to three months off of your normal routine. Don’t worry, though. McKinley Family Chiropractic has always been great at helping people adapt to their everyday lives.

As you have officially made it back to work and you are a month in, you might notice that you’re run down, or you feel exhausted, stressed, etc. All of these things are normal. Most careers don’t take a three-month break from work every year, so it is easier for us to adapt to our environments because we are constantly in them. Teachers work hard for nine months and then get around three months off; some get less if they teach summer school, but it is still not the same hours or workload. Then, when they return to school, they have a whole new class and sometimes even a whole new classroom. That is a lot of change to handle at once, and sometimes it can feel like a lot.

If you feel overwhelmed with your return to teaching or can’t catch up with your workload again, you should come see us. Our static EMG test will tell us how overwhelmed your nervous system could be, and we can get to work helping you adapt to anything the school year throws your way.

We will continue our student and teacher relief package through the end of September! If you have any questions, please ask one of the staff the next time you’re in the office!
