For this weeks article I wanted to talk about subluxation. I know we talk about it a lot in the office but I thought it’d be good to go into more detail and provide some subluxation example comparisons.
I want you to think about what would happen if you would walk around everyday for the rest of your life with just one shoe on. Now I know your thinking that this would be silly, why would anyone want to do this? You probably wouldn’t but IF you were to do this for the rest of your life, you would begin to see a lot of problems like back pain, sciatic, scoliosis, etc. due to the imbalance and your body’s compensation for the lack of the second shoe.
People can be experiencing this imbalance without even knowing it. When your body has subluxations, which are misalignments of your vertebrae, and you do not get them rectified, your body creates a lot of changes to compensate…which will not be good. Our bodies can only handle so much stress before symptoms begin to appear due to this imbalance.
Another example relates to your car’s service warning light. From time to time the warning light will come on in a car as a reminder that routine service is due. When ignored and unserviced, the car will start experiencing additional wear and lead to more issues. But here’s the thing, you want those warning signs to let you know there is an issue so that you can get the problems fixed before your car breaks down for good.
Our body has warning signs like headaches, back pain, sciatica etc. These signs are not something to be ignored. Like the car example, you want to address them as soon as possible to prevent additional wear and further issues in the long run.
It’s very important to get your spines checked to make sure that there is no pressure on your nervous system. This will help your body better adapt to the stresses of life. If you know of anyone who can benefit from Chiropractic care, or has any questions about it, make sure search for a chiropractor near you.
A Lesson on Compound Interest…. Just like investing your money, it is vital to invest in your health, and just like your money, sometimes you won’t see the advancements until you’re further down the line. There is no better time to start than right now. Making small contributions to your health will begin to pay […]
