Hello everyone, I hope that you had a very nice New Years celebration and created some awesome goals to start 2014. For this weeks blog I decided to talk about kids and growing pains. Not many people realize that growing pains can be misalignment in the kids joints which can cause discomfort.
Kids are always moving, playing, jumping etc.. and can easily cause the bones in the kids spine or joints to be misaligned. Not making sure that these are corrected can cause the parents to think that they are experiencing “growing pains”. We had a patient come in, a little girl who was experiencing “growing pains” in her knees but upon examination she was experiencing misalignment in her knee joints and by adjusting them allowed to create less pressure within the joint thus relieving her of her “growing pains”.
People think growing pains are normal, along with headaches etc. That it is something that you are supposed to experience through life, which is a big misconception. You are not supposed to experience any growing pains throughout life, like I have said earlier these are simply bone misalignment’s and that’s why it is important for kids to get their spines checked for these misalignment’s by Chiropractors because they can be easily rectified.
If you have kids or know of anyone else that has kids who are experiencing “growing pains” bring them in and get their spines check. It can be easily corrected and allow your kid to experience a pain free childhood.
