Summer has finally blessed us with some good weather! It’s now time for everyone to get outside, enjoy the weather, and be active. We want to remind everyone to have fun but also to be careful. This is the time of year were we see a lot more injuries, especially in the extremities.
While we hope you don’t get hurt, we do at least want to let you know that we can help if you do hurt one of your extremities. What you may not realize is that Chiropractors not only deal with the spine but also the rest of the body. When the extremities are out of alignment it causes a chain reaction, which leads to more dysfunction in the body. This can also put pressure on the nerves that are innervated by them and cause pain.
We often forget to take care of our bodies. Sometimes we try to ignore that little feeling of pain and convince ourselves it will go away in a few days. We will try to make excuses and chalk it up to something like age. This, however, is not the correct way of thinking. These are warning signs that areas of our body need to be checked and addressed because, if it continues to be in the state of dysfunction, it will have greater issues later on. As issues fester, it ends up taking longer for our bodies to heal with corrective care.
We always want to be functioning at 100%, without any pain or discomfort. So make sure that you go and get your spine and extremities checked so that you can enjoy your summer and all the fun activities you have planned :)
