The Short Answer
There are some factors to consider, but the short answer is yes. Chiropractic care is included in most health insurance plans, including major medical plans, workers’ compensation, Medicare, some Medicaid plans, and Blue Cross Blue Shield plans for federal employees, among others.
Chiropractic care is also available to active-duty members of the armed forces at more than 60 military bases. Chiropractic care is available to veterans at 36 major veterans medical facilities.
Each insurance plan is different when compared to another. Some insurance companies will cover a certain amount of treatments, others will cover a percentage, and some use a combination of both with their coverage.
We understand that it’s important for patients to know what is covered by their insurance plan. In our office we do a complimentary insurance verification. After completing the verification, we then sit down with the patient to go over what will be covered and what will not be covered by their insurance company.
It’s also important to note that insurance companies make changes on a regular basis to their policies. We always try to provide all necessary information to patients to help them better them understand their coverage.
